Functional Dry Needling®

Patients who suffer from chronic pain find that this manual therapy provides relief without the use of medication. Dry needling allows the therapist to reach the areas that they cannot manually reach and retrain that muscle to act correctly.

Our specialized physical therapist listens to our patients and assesses the underlying issue and the corresponding trigger points. A very thin filament needle which does not have any medication and is not a syringe (dry) is inserted through the skin to the target. An electronic stimulator is connected to the needle to activate or release the muscle while the therapist manages both the frequency and intensity of the pulse to retrain the muscle.

This technique is used to successfully treat patients experiencing pain in any area of the body due to and including:

  • Headaches
  • Temperomandibular Joint (TMJ)
  • Frozen Shoulder
  • Tennis Elbow
  • Hip Instabilities
  • Cervical Spine
  • Lumbar Spine
  • Thoracic Spine and Trunk
  • Muscle Imbalance
  • Plantar Fasciitis
